Self-realisation an inner truth sound very much like traditional values to me.

Psychoslice :Yes they are traditional values as long as they are given to you by someone else or is read from organised scriptures. But when this truth is Realized from your inner Being then you are out of religion and into Spirituality, not you as the mind body but you as your true SELF, big difference.

It isn't traditional in the west, it is more traditional in the east. In the west it tends to come down to dogmatic beliefs in particular sects, or the worship of material possessions. This has a tendency of limiting peoples inner growth.

I just hate how they like to make light out of me when I express the gravity of my difficulties. It makes me feel like going on a mass shooting spree.

IMHO, spirituality is the journey of the individual, religion is the group structure people create.

What do you mean by the gravity of my difficulties, what difficulties do you mean, if you don't mind me asking ?.

Couldn't this entire reality be simulated in a holodeck made out of plasma energy that powers the warp drive engines?

At a fundamental level.. religion is a very old thing on the earth.. it has been twisted and corrupted by man for means of power and domination.. so the difference is 'spirituality' in it's newness has very little of this message in it..

I do not wish wish to elaborate, suffice to say my environment was extremely unstable, and I was getting tossed around. I also had strong issues with the competence of those in positions that have effected my course through life. Our school system is a complete disaster that encourages malicious behavior. This was precisely what my environment was tempting me towards. The people around me were extremely stupid, and I did not want to point out the obvious.

Yes I use to hate the world and everyone in it, but then came the realization that all are doing the best they can, we are all as humans conditioned and programmed by everyone else before us, even you. Realize that you are not perfect either, Realize that you are not even who you think you are, as they are not who they believe they are also. These people are also a part of you as you are a part of them, there they are being jerks, that's a part of you also being a jerk, then there's those who are compassionate, that's you being compassionate also, try it out for your SELF, but remember you are more than who you believe yourself to be as they are also.
