To go against your principles to address someone else who is going against your principles is not a win.

What is the best possible outcome? Monsanto (or whoever) conforms to your principles and you are now violating your (former) principles.

The most likely outcome is that both you and Monsanto are now going against your current principles.

Overall definitely a no win approach.

Tricky one really, Is remaining apathetic when big danger threatens and encroaches going against a princple?

There could be a few principles here, just accepting it as our fate too could be one..

Ghandi was an exceptional and motivated man. To suggest pacifism as a general public movement for "dealing with"/opposing GE food is completely ineffective and gives the bio-tech companies carte blance to ride rough-shod over us all. Can you see this? Do you want that?

Thankfully, the EU are currently debating the banning issue of GE foods so this serious matter is recognised and being addressed.

I believe that big companies are not the problem. As long as people desire more money than they need, there will be people to sell whatever other people want, and as long as people don't know or care why they should eat organic food, there will be people to buy whatever is cheap and accessible.

It's a waste of time and energy to try to fight companies, governments, laws, and what have you, when all the things that seem wrong with the world are just various manifestations of one or two underlying problems. People can't and won't be forced to do something they don't want to do.
