I'll second that. In 'Life in the Undergrowth' with David Attenborough, there is a scene showing two slugs mating. It is one of the most erotic things I've ever seen.
Also, when I was around 12 years old, I had an unforgettable moment with a slug. I was in the garden putting bread out for the birds. A slug was on the stone slab and I started talking to it. It seemed interested so I offered it a tiny piece of bread. Couldn't believe my eyes when it opened its mouth and fed from my fingers. I've never seen such a pretty mouth in all my life - it looked like a flower. Absolutely beautiful. We spent about 10 minutes sharing each other's lives - it was very precious.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

We used to have 2 feet slugs in NYC. A relative of mine would put salt on them. I honestly think he got retribution down the road.

Wow thanks for sharing. I have to admit I'm not a fan of slugs or snails in the slightest (although I wouldn't kill one), nor flies or maggots, ugh. But this has caught my eye and given me a slightly different perspective
Now I just need some lovely fly stories please...
