Yes it does seem that way, from what they have said. I really hope it is true. It may be, as he is a valuable hostage.
There's something slightly humorous about Colonel refusing to eat Afghani dogs' gruel, and forcing them to cook chicken and beef kebabs for him! I have to laugh a little at that.

Yours sincerely,
(those who sign)

Brilliant muileag! Thanks.
A lot of petitions went out about a week ago, but some of them were addressed to people like Mr Obama, who are not directly linked to the situation. It is thought 'Colonel' was with British forces, some think he was part of an SAS mission.

Love it, Tobi! I signed too (I think - not very tek savvy and didn't see my name, but I'll check it again.) Thank you for doing this!

Muileag, please pardon the question and know I do not mean to take the focus away from this important action.
When you put something on your "facebook feed" does that mean your "friends" see it on your page and can sign, too? Is it fairly easy to do? Thanks from an older woman not quite in the swing of social media activism!

I am so glad Colonel hasn't been forgotten, even though the media hype has died away right now. Hopefully there is a covert mission by special forces to get him back.....
We wouldn't know a thing until it was over.
