Their relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin.

Oh my...i surely agree with that.Ever since i started reconnecting with my inner self and love myself more and more, i now love life so much and it has turned for the better.
But it is hard to love yourself when you don't care about others, when you don't know what you like or want from life, when you see life without a meaning or feel lonely. These kind of people need to learn to love themselves otherwise i fear for them...oh yeah these kind of people exist.
Loving yourself even cures depression almost every time

I searched for an inspiring song to go with inspiring affirmations
(tougher than I thought - so if anyone knows of any please share).

Here's one I found: The Power Within You (to the song: Circle of Life)...

I agree.
And loving yourself doesn't always mean always doing what feels comfortable.
It's often going out of your comfort zones - to care for yourself & others.
A never-ending balance of loving self & others...
I guess when we're in a more aware state of mind, we see the nonduality, but much of the time we see separation.
Maybe by learning to balance loving self & others, we see more that we are all one.

You are also right. That balance you talk about is very reliable if you have it.I don't even care about the defects of my friends cos i go past them in order to help them and the positive energy formed by that unconditional help will do you good.
Separation is bad to always see.We are all one of course, its even a necessity i say. This is a necessity we need to undertake for the new millennium in order to evolve spiritually and i am sure of it.

This is beautiful, thank you Rosewater for posting, and for all of you for your answers. Perspective, love your affirmations, would you mind if I copy some of them for myself?

ShenMashel,
That's true - there's great energy in loving when it's not so easy to.

Surfjam - great name & affirmation.

Kiran,
Of course - I'd be honored. Most of the affirmations I got from others, that I collected over time.
