The different sounds:
Quote:
A practitioner who is able to stimulate his kundalini inmeditation and cause it to rise up his spine to the point where it can engage and activate one of his cakras will hear the astralsound that is consistent with a particular cakra.
1. Awakening the muladhdra cakra will produce soundsthat resemble the chirping of birds or the buzzing of bees.
2. Awakening the svadisthana cakra will occasion soundslike the tinkling of bells.
3. Awakening the manipura cakra will elicit a ringingsound.
4. Activating the anahata cakra will produce sounds thatresemble the mellow tones of a flute.
5. And finally, awakening the visuddha cakra will giverise to sounds like the uniform reverberation of a drum or therhythmic cords of the AUM mantra. If these astral sounds are heard calmly they will lull themind into a tranquil state, and if meditation is continued, theywill fade naturally and disappear in a short time

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Yeah its called tinnitus. Its a consequence of a brain concussion, neck injury, a "silent" migraine, eardrum damage, dental problems, damaged ligaments in the jaw or a tumor pressing on the auditory cortex.
I know because I have it... busted my neck while shovelling gravel.
I have a generic answer prepared for those who come seeking advice regarding medical matters:
DOCTOR FIRST, SPIRIT LATER! Until you learn self healing, then you won't need our advice anymore, but in the meantime...

But not everyone is affected by any of those conditions, so what is the explanation then?

Well there is also a silent ambient hum we all hear all the time. Things get quiet enough and you'll get to notice it. Its not like any particular form of ringing, more like a tone that comes from inside your head rather than by any ear.
It macthes the hum you hear when turning on an old cathode television just before it starts receiving signal from the tv station.
Everybody has that, but not everybody hears that, and there are certainly very few people that are actually bothered by it. Asking "why is that" and asking "what to do with that" is like asking why you have 5 fingers when 4 or maybe even 3 are completely enough as long as one is opposable.

BigBadBeef certainly has a valuable point to make when he says "Doctor first -Spirit later" It's always wise to treat any possible physical issues in physical terms first. That can nip health problems in the bud, and give clear answers to things which could bug you for years.
Then there is a peculiar phenomenon called "The Hum"; a low frequency noise. What the source of this is, is rather mysterious. It is said to occur in parts of Britain and North America. Whether it is related to HAARP or not is difficult to prove. There have been reports of that noise for over 40 years, and it was heard in the village of Woodland, County Durham UK for days on end during 2011.

I heard that hum since before I even got tinnitus. Oh... and I'm from the balkans!
Spiritual tenants may claim that self healing is possible, but we don't know how to do that yet. Someday we may begin to do so, but until then medicine is pretty much a requirement. Have a look at this short video addressing the bashing modern medicine has been receiving by the "survivalists":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhGuXCuDb1U
However you must be sick first to be healed of something. If it is tinnitus then its a ring or tone. If its ambient noise inside your head, then its nothing.
Oh, and, by the way, they treat tinnitus with antidepressants. I said no thanks and moved along.

Who says says we don't? Only mainstream science.

Okay then, don't go to a doctor, go do someone who can teach you something like that. By the take you booked the plane ticket, the stay in a hotel in between lessons maybe even the fee itself is he/she/it(lol) charges you for it, you will have wished you had taken the pills instead.
