Capacity,
That is true. It is true because truth is subjective. Meaning subjective to the viewpoint of those attempting to witness to the truth. There is one truth from a crime scene with 1 witness.....a different truth emerges with 2,3,4 witnesses etc.

That's true but that's not truth. The ground of being is truth and has no boundaries and it cannot be known. It's nature is not knowable nor is it the subject. It is the ground.

For me the truth is that we are and all else is one in Consciousness, the truth cannot be conceptualized, it cannot be organised, its what is. We can only know the truth from within, the experience of truth is what is known as Enlightenment, or Awakening. In this experience of Enlightenment we seem to know all, but we cannot put it into words, we can only point to it.
Religion tries to tell you what it is, but they cannot, and its this reason many religions can be nothing but a wall between the truth and yourself.

The mind is very powerful and has many tools to control a subject. Humans happen to be one of those subjects. It starts with becoming aware of your thoughts. Then being able to control your thoughts. Then use your logic and reason to figure out what it is your senses are trying to perceive to you. I'm aware everyone has their own perception because everyone has their own mind.
Once you're free from that control, you understand that everything is energy in some form. There is always a positive and a negative, you can not know positive without knowing negative. As far as we know the universe is at a balance. We are part of the universe, so we too should be at balance.
Energy is constantly flowing through our body. Being able to control that energy and balancing it in your body is "my truth"!

Here is the thing 2 + 4 = 4 is incorrect.
Numbers are unreal, imaginary.
Let me give a quick example:
2 apples + 2 apples = 4 apples -> it's wrong.
1 apple will never have the same amount of atoms than another apple.
So the first apple could have more atoms than the second apple, it could be represented like 1.05apples + .99apples see it's never 2+2=4 with real things.
It's the same with currency:
1 usd + 1 usd = 2 usd,
1 cda + 1 cda = 2 cda. Different results (ideas) for the same truth
You see, it will always be "my" truth and "your" truth which is nice.
Another example, with the weather:
For some people 7° C is cold for some people 7° C is hot.

I don't think it's that complicated.
It's simply a way of saying, "The God I believe in". It acknowledges that not everyone has the same views. (Depending on tone of voice, it's either very respectful or pretty snotty.) The same is true for expressing one's personal truths. It's just a way of saying, "This is what I think" or "This is what I believe". It's just oral shorthand. Instead of babbling on and on with, "My personal viewpoint, and you may disagree, which is okay, is that ____________".
"My God" or "My truth" assumes a maturity sufficient to understand the nuances of language and communication.

Many people confuse belief for truth. "My truth" many times is nothing more than "my belief." Holding one's beliefs as truth may provide a degree of comfort and peace of mind, but it may not always be the most honest, insightful, or beneficial perspective to adopt.

Everly, you've lost me, and i really would like to understand your viewpoint.
Are you saying you agree with people who claim "my truth" or you don't? is "my truth" and "my god" the same thing to you?

She simply said, saying "my god" is akin to saying "the god that I believe in," and saying "my truth" is akin to saying "my belief."
It's not about agreeing or disagreeing with anything. It's about understanding that these terms signify personal preference/experience/belief.
