Mindfulness is a really cutting edge therapy these days. That's actually one of the practices of meditation. It's also called "present moment awareness".

There is also mindfulness based CBT.

The evidence base for this comes from all the findings in neurobiology since 2000.

Meditation rocks!

As long as one is mindful of the fact that mindfulness goes far beyond meditation.

Try to get him to cut out caffeine if he hasn't done this already.I am currently on medication but also use a diary as a form of cognitive behavioural therapy,it gives me the opportunity to look back at relapses in the past and I think to myself 'hey,I was worse then and yet I'm still here,I still pulled through'.

One can cook, clean, work, play, sing, dance, etc. with mindfulness. One cannot meditate while doing these things.
