Where did these clouds come from?
Are they the thoughts that were placed in our heads
by culture, by religion,
by "spirituality" by advertising,
by a thin-stream of unusable-nonsense
that was planted in our heads
via individuals
via movements
via schools?

The thoughts in your head
is not you...

the thoughts
the doubts
the frustrations
the assumptions
as to
what to eat
what to wear
what to say
what to long-for
as to
what should be pretty
and what isn't

is not you...
it's contrived

and we each are
entrapped within this
contrived way of being

And from within this perspective
we try reclaiming our freedom
leaving us drifting
among images
of irrelevance...

it requires a certain
intense
dedicated
persistent
open-ended
and unrelenting effort
to break free from this realm
of conditioning

any investment less than this
may have us indeed
thinking really cool thoughts
but still leave us
as functionally
delusional....

Delusions so you reap, are the illusions that you keep
for the judgements we place paints a picture to face
just as you mention, the leaders and the sheep
remember with potential, we have freedom to take
so sow positive seeds and with your light that you make
and shine it into the mirror, for its a reflection you will find
with magic in the mind, the eyes look anew
out of the old world and into the new
so be like a star, amongst the darkness to shine
and you will see through into a brand new time

...for the distinction
is important

"To be like a star"
is a conceptual stance
as though light can exist
in isolation

but hidden in darkness
is the essence of light
without darkness
then light
remains flattened and empty
without darkness
we remain
both ignorant and blind

we cast our eyes to the sky
in the search of new horizons
not noticing the significance of our
intimate-presence

we cast intent in the direction
of preferable projection
without a platform of solidity
to stand on

so to be "whole"
is to be
of both darkness and light
pursue the one
without the other
and we forever remain lost

..for enlightenment is illuminated
by the complexity of contrasts...
we don't pursue it
as much
as we perceive how it works
why "imagine"
what's already there...
