That is my understanding as well, and you articulated it better than I could.

There is a review, but no retribution. There is no punishment nor atonement, neither in the after-life nor in a next-life, although one may choose a next-life that could look as such, for other reasons.
The worst thing that we can do when we learn of such tragedies is to yield to anger and fear. Those are detrimental only to those who experience them.

EDIT: When I say "expect to" I point to one's beliefs: conscious (assumptions) and unconscious (truths).

Guys.....i'll say it again. This thread is not about guns. Its about the spiritual ramifications of untimely death and what the souls of both those killed and the soul of the killer face in the spiritual Realm.

It is more than fortunate that the new transaltion of the Bible - and in this case of the ten commandments - has now changed 'thou shalt not kill' to 'thou shall not murder'. Saves the consciences of a lot of people worrying about their spiritual journey and leaves a lot of leeway to follow the new commandment.

I'm not going to suppose what happens when you die or I die, or necessarily believe in any specific afterlife, but coming from the 'no-self' persuasion, birth and death is a physical thing within life, and in the scale of things, one life is a flash in the pan like it barely happens, but if we say life is sacred, I think we we should hold life that high. I don't know what has perturbed the mass shooter mind, but it must have a history and became very disturbed, so its hard for me to feel hatred and vengeance toward one already so tormented even though the situation is heart-breaking. People are harsh and brutal. I've seen that a lot in my life.
If the killer wants resolution, forgiveness or whatever, if that's even a thing for the dead (I imagine it is), I will go so far to say that killing like that is plain evil and involves chaos and really strong ill-will, though that doesn't make anyone objectively bad - especially from the 'no self' perspective - so I end up hoping the killer does find resolution and goes on to be happy. The killed are innocent, so it's that's different kettle of fish, but I also hope they all find bliss.

Hi, I thought I would mention if someone was interested in what others have said from the
Other Side to mediums about what happens in all sorts of situations.
Here are some informative books.
- Well, Robert Schwartz's 3 books. Not into books? His many interviews on youtubes are even a help.
- "A World Beyond", ha, Arthur Ford a medium himself, one Tuesday morning starts typing
through his friend Ruth Montgomery's fingers :) "Hi Ruth" ;
answering many questions about what happens in all sorts of instances ~ say, to JFK, Adolf H, a suicide, an infant, just an everyday accident.
- Free online somewhere ~ "Life in the Unseen World", again a psychic comes thru to his medium friend Anthony Borgia, for the purpose
of redeeming himself, since he had written books while living about spirits on the Other Side being demons as a British Episcopal priest.
Boy, was he wrong.

For fans of cause and effect it should be noted that sins of omission lead to sins of commission. We give birth to perpetrators when we fail them in multiple ways as they mature. There is always blood on many hands…

This is so true.
I see it’s struck again - control.
Re:OP. You can’t discuss spirit IMO without looking at real life. They’re not separate.
Condolences to all incl the troubled kid who got a gun like buying lollies.

I remember that movie about this subject, "Rudderless". It was brilliant but I can't give away the spoilers.
