There's a comedy band called The Macc Lads that remind me of the humour in Viz,think they changed line up a lot over the years but did some really funny tracks.

Haha , I LOVE daft humour.
Does "private eye " count as a comic ???
Oh but I also used to love the "beau peep " comic strip books. They were a fab stocking filler back in the day.
( Red , Leeds you say ?? Do I know him LOL...)

Yeah it was Leeds. I had never been there before. I met this Geordie guy in Queensland and we travelled together thru the outback (he was on holiday) and we kept in touch. So the next time I visited UK I went up there for a few days. I couldn’t believe how nice the City of Leeds was. I thought it would be a rough and ready, industrial town but it was absolutely gorgeous. He took me to where the Brontes lived and to the Moors. I got out of the car and started running across the Moors shouting…….Heathcliffe…….Heathcliffe…… .and both of us laughing our heads off.
He was a great bloke. One day he was on his phone to his mate in the UK and I heard him say……..can you believe I’m crossing the outback with a bloody scouser! Funny.

Leeds is a great centre and lots of nice areas on outskirts of city.
Roundhay / roundhay park is famous for it's bonfires and outdoor concerts, and sledge slope on hill 60 in winter when it snows. This was on my doorstep.
Oh but you are talking about HOWARTH , Brontë county.
It's beautiful.
Such a gorgeous place .
Haha..... Yes , Heathcliffe .
Did you bump into Kate Bush ? LOL ....

Yes it is quite stunning in parts, I think it was autumn last time I was up that way in Bronte country recall going over a small bridge and the trees were all autumnal colours, been a few times along the Pennine Way (a path decent walkers need to try) The Way leads from Edale right up and over Hadrians wall and the scenery changes as you go along traversing the different landscapes are eye openers, of course half decent weather is best, some of my memorable spotse were Kinder Scout, Blackstone Edge, Mallham and of course the Bronte moors. Lived in Monkswood, or something like that for a while outside Leeds, whats it called Angel? Monk something.

I used to get a daily Dilbert strip sent to my inbox, but they pulled it after the creator said something controversial!!
Not sure if you can get the daily Beau Peep one sent.
