For me the light just shone through but not as a direct meditation, although it was possibly a consequence of meditating... because first it felt like heavy tar was moving up inside my torso, then after some days that 'lifted'... then soon after that it shone and I felt it like... flooding me.

I have not seen or felt this light that is spoken of, but I read about it and I believe that it is the all encompassing light the shines from the unmanifest and ripples through the universe to give light to all of existence. Shining from the highest dimension to the lowest, from one end of the universe to the other side. Giving all of existence the light of life.
I meditate everyday to find and manifest this light. I have not found it's full potential yet but I am seeking for it to manifest into my being. I know that I will find it someday. When I do find find this light I know I will be filled with the inherent love, joy and peace that I truly am.

That has been my experience with meditation. I find I can sharpen my attention while focusing on the third eye area. They say that the frontal lobes is where consciousness resides. Not only that but it's also the CEO of the brain and body too. We just need to open it's full potential with meditation. One pointed meditation comes through sharpening the the attention of the frontal lobe area to gain full control over the brain and body and put the CEO back in charge.

AP... If it's light you want you could go for focusing in the pineal in the center of the brain.
By the way, divine light is not always bright but more often appears soft. Just letting you know so you don't miss it when it shows up.

I remember you talking about focusing in the pineal in the center of the brain. I didn't forget. Thanks again.

Ahhh... I just remembered the pineal meditation practice I used to do.
Beginning with visualizing/imagining a seed light in the center of the head
will lead to seeing the actual spiritual light that is there
which leads to awareness in the light field that fills the body
and emanates all around it as the aura.
