Yes.. it is great to see them lose. I don't like these clubs that are made big by black gold.. City, PSG, and now also Newcastle. Not to mention the buying off stars to Saudi-Arabia..  They're being modern colonists of the game.

That should be a good game, the Italians always bring something to the table
and are really hoping for some kind of result, so a real game.

I imagine it will be one sided and that would be a first time I say that when England face a big name opponent. I'm thinking they'll hammer Italy. England has a lot of good talent right now, whereas Italy looks extremely poor squad wise. Maybe a good test is to ask ''how many of their players would Real Madrid wanna get?'' I can think of two, that's it. I remember days when they were packed with world class but those days are long gone. They really haven't looked all that good post 2006.

Hi Joe... Oh the Italians do always bring something to the table , it's in the form of their kit ... It makes me dribble LOL..

Hi Altair, I got to agree with everything you say about the Italian world squad.
Not a patch on the squad of the past but the same can be said of many of the world greats including Brazil , Germany etc .

They looked pretty good in the second half of the Euros final against England I must say, 2021, or was that just a dream we had during Covid 
Anyway I don't follow Serie A at all, so I presume that team, The European Champions has broken up with a few retirements and change of manager etc. ?

Me too. If England win, then it will really lay down a marker for the Euros. We CAN beat big teams in games which matter, and the away win earlier on in the year won’t just have been a flash in the pan. |
