This is the 'point of dissolution'. Lucid dreaming is the very first stage.

As you become aware of the processes of your subconscious mind, just watch it all unfold...thoughts are like dreams (and I guess I answered my own question re: this thread).

There is no 'altering' and no 'controlling' - only submission and acceptance - with your conscious mind and ego just going along for the ride....like when Arjuna gives the reigns of the chariot to Lord Krishna for a while with "you drive, coz I'm tired" and this is the way it all starts.

After some time though, your subconscious mind starts to alter itself, so it can directly perceive things without going through your conscious mind first- and this is what we want to happen here.

Of course!

Everything except for God's love and grace is shallow, fleeting and doesn't give any lasting satisfaction...only God can fill that gaping hole within your heart...and I mean, He does already...we just have to remove all the barriers to feeling this love at a soul/core level....for you see, God's love IS the Bliss and it is the love we feel for Him, returned a millionfold - you know, stuff we cannot bear to feel 'all at once' but it's totally amazing when we do....

Please do not feel indebted...you owe me nothing and, to be honest...I can't take the credit for most of this.

This is really old "Hindu Stuff" that has mostly been forgotten...and it's pretty much all 'basic stuff' ...before everything got lost in modern translation.

I'm just glad I have been given the chance to share it and somebody was actually listening...

The state of Turiya happens when you are fully asleep but fully consciously aware and Bliss is flowing like a fountain from the wellspring of your loving heart.

It is not a 'mental exercise' to TRY to do this/that...think of it as a sculptor, actually removing layers of clay to reveal an image, rather than constructing an image from the clay.

Turiya is when you can stand back and view the universe objectively - see it all as Shakti's "Divine Play" or Leela...what we are experiencing, is just the dance of the Cosmic Goddess.

When that energy is awakened within as an aspect of this and when we can actually function in the deepest trance with quicksilver bliss running through the veins...when every action is perfunctory for the sake of performing it and yet there is no doer and nothing to be done...this is Turiya.

It will happen after 3-6 months of practicing Yoga Nidra, but there is a catch...no masturbation (fapping) during this time or else you will start to undo everything you do and it becomes "one step forward and two steps backward". If you have trouble remaining totally celibate, start by cutting it down to half the regularity and stay with that for a month or two.

It is great you are studying the Upanishads and yoga Nidra every night..before you go into Yoga Nidra, light a candle...gaze at it for a while (5-10 minutes) chanting your mantra...now, see if this makes a difference.

I hope this answers any and all questions you have already asked about it.

Awesome!

Now, I do not require 'progress reports' on this until you have been doing it for a month solid. If you like, keep a journal...write down your experiences, emotions, barriers etc. I'm here to give you support, but that is all right now...perfection takes time.
