finding current or more of it.(the power)

the feminine nature of the divine may have been forgotten by the masses. shakti. but she is alive and well.

two things work good for me.

1. the sky. weather with most reguard to moisture in the air.

2. music.

for me the current expands and deepens the expereince. maybe for others to.

if anybody desires feel free to share what works for you. your experience.

Is this the same as 'grounding techniques'?

1. Performing ablutions in the ocean...offering the water back to the source, which is part of the whole (and remembering that I am also).

2. Drumming - becoming one with the cosmic rhythm of life (and yeah, one day I'm going to get a damaru).

3. Belly Dancing - moving my hips and pelvis to align my body with the energetic flow from the core of the earth, to the core of myself and the heavens.

4. Aromatherapy - using different essential oils to change or improve my mood and at the moment, it is the essential oil of orange, for an energetic, yet balancing effect.

1. Tree hugging. Seriously. Nothing connects me to earth energy like tree hugging. It just works.

2. Exercise. Specifically bike riding. Nothing like enjoying nature with a little exertion to invigorate mind and soul.

3. Music. It works hand in hand with my work, motivating and energizing at the same time.

4. Creation. Creation to me is any personal expression that brings something into the world. My work is one. My participation here is another. My family is another. Etc..

I think for me its when I'm relaxed. I've noticed recently there is a tension that's been ongoing and felt as normal, so normal that I wasn't aware the tension was there. Some call it resistance I guess and now if I consciously locate that tension and release it, let it go I can feel energy begin to flow right through me, its a feeling of being "topped up".

There are situations that have similar effect and like you running a "moody" atmosphere in nature does it for me every time...that still, humid type of weather among the trees and birds...magic.

Thanks for sharing Emm! my meditation practice is much about finding tensions and releasing them.

in doing so makes space for what was before tied up. many call those tensions obstructions. cause they are obstructing the flow of energy.

I love trees, a few days ago i laid my hand on a old beach tree, and got that burst of energy from the earth. It also thanked me for pay attention to it. Its crazy how much history a tree can hold.

I basically have to just agree 0with most of what Kioma, naturesflow, Emm and Shivani already said.

Alone....
Hiking or biking specifically on a trail, out in nature.
Swimming. Walking.
Meditating. Moongazing. The amazing zen of night energy.

With others...
Talking with guides and fellow travellers. Actively working to come to a place of personal centredness in difficult situations where my habit is to emotionally disengage or de-emphasise feeling and relate through impartial or universal equanimity.
Giving and receiving in exchange with others from a place of balance and lovingkindness. Seeking and finding a place of equity and parity in any exchange from which to do so long-term...important for all.

For me personally...
Being real and authentic and allowing myself to be in a place of vulnerability, honesty, and feeling. Not allowing others to shame me for seeking my balance in this way -- modern culture and many individuals will absolutely try to do so, to label your balance and your centredness in your uniqueness and your personal authenticity of self as "weakness" or "neediness" because to experience emotion is human and humbling.
Equally, not allowing others to try to manipulate or leverage sharing or vulnerability for controlling or predatory or "power over" purposes (a problem of our times and perhaps also just a general challenge for humanity).

Feeling the strength, beauty and truth of my humanity in a way that is personal yet expansive and does not rely soley on the massive power of equanimity.
In fact, great strength is required to be authentic in feeling as well as in thinking and in doing...to be humble yet balanced at our centre.

To say I matter equally to all others, and this is how I feel and what I think, and it's ok to own my humanity more fully in this way. Regardless of how others may react.
To know that I have a right to my own emotional space, just like everyone else...regardless of what I've been told or shown to this point.
Realising this understanding and acceptance is at the heart of bringing more lovingkindness into our world.

Nice thread...it's good to bring the expansive energy of lovingkindness to the fore and into balance in our lives and in our larger collective societies, whatever we call it

Peace & blessings

The tree of life is an interesting image.

The thing is when we look at a tree, we only see one side of it. There is another side, the roots that grow into the earth. There is a whole other tree there that we normally don't see, a tie into another complete ecosystem and way of being. It is at the same time literal and metaphorical of the union of earth and sky, above and below, the seen and the unseen.

The trunk of the tree is that union, and why I believe contact with it can be so powerful.
