Mirrors as portals

Anyone have any information on the idea of mirrors being portals used by spirits to hop into the physical world? I had a few weird OBEs that had me pondering the idea that a mirror in my room is an interdimension portal. Trippy stuff.

Hello Frog Warrior, Mirrors have long been used for Spirit communication, that is to say , portals for communication between this world of matter and worlds unhindered by the constraints of space and time. Consciousness, Subconsciousness et al being connected to collective consciousness will remember it's connection to source both chronically and at times acutely.

The thing of reflective surfaces is most commonly called scrying. a direct interlink between you and the wider you of which we are all a part as opposed to apart, which as I see it is where the issue arises. that is to say,we are a part and not apart(separate)...

Like all things mirrors at times have passed from house to house and owner to owner. With that at times comes the energy of whom might well have gazed upon themselves in that mirror. Some way that they are places for spirits to enter one's home and that there are places one should and should not hang one.

The house I just moved into has mirrors in so many places. They are on the back of the bedroom doors here, on a bedroom wall, in the kitchen over the sink, on bedroom closet doors.....its like the house of mirrors.

I have noted nothing from them but I do have a house guest that is tied in her ownership to the house. She is happy I am here.

The mirror is the window to our Soul.

I have 7 mirrors total in 4 different rooms, they were all bought new, I didn't consider the idea that they could be portals.

My mother told me that HER mother (aka my Grandmother) told her that if you stand in front of a mirror holding a mirror and point the mirrors so that they are in line and go on for infinity then THAT opens a portal. I don't know if this is just like old folklore or if there's some truth to it.

That's an interesting post, Lynn. I never thought of mirrors as holding the energy of previous people that looked in them. I gave some mirrors to my son that belonged to my grandmother. It's got me thinking now. I do know that it creates chaotic or perhaps bad energy when mirrors are place across from one another - law of feng shui.

I used to do that a lot as a kid, but I never really thought about it like that. I feel like that might just be folklore, but I guess back then I never really experimented with that kind of thing. Also I have this thing about not communicating with spirits, so I don't know if I want to put this to the test.

Hi I recently posted a picture in the medium section it was taken in a room were I work I can see a face in the mirror on the picture. All so when I was younger I was told about this thing were you sit in a dark room in front of a mirror with a candle an look at your self in the mirror I did this and after a few minutes I seen a woman looking back at me it scared the **** out of me. I've only recently found out that doing this practice your ment to see yourself from a past life.
