Confussed? crystal meanings

Each website says diffrent things about the meaning and uses of crystal, how do i know which one is right?

Trust your intuition,and maybe use a pendulum? Individual crystals can have many different energies ; colour (and intensity of), shape, size, location, chemical properties...etc of one stone can affect it's energy. For example ; some malachite contain more copper than others, and since copper is a very good conductor, malachites richer in copper are said to have stronger amplification abilities. Crystals with rainbows in them are known for certain abilities, and crystal formations can have a role too.

If you can't feel the energy of the crystal physically, then try to meditate with it and allow words or images to come to mind. I find this very helpful ; even if the words don't make sense, they can eventually be useful. Use the only guides for what they are ; guides. If one day you feel tired, and amethyst calls to you, use it, even if amethyst is known to be calming. Try experimenting, and seeing how each crystal affects your life.

That being said, the sites can be very useful for learning about the crystals. I try to find a few that I trust, and use those as a guide.

In my experience they're mostly all right. THing is there's so much to tell about any one crystal, that most sites choose a description, which is basically part of what there is to tell about a crystal. Many use description from a book, i.e. Judy Hall's crystal guides/bibles. If you check Robert Simmons' books, you'll find some 2 pages per crystal and even that probably doesn't cover all there is to say about any one crystal. If a shop was to put 2 pages of info with each crystal, no one would read that, so they go for an abridged version. On a shop site ppl want it to be short and sweet, esp. if they're going through many crystals.
Just think about the different levels a crystal can have as well. I.e. amethyst can help to find tranquility, sleep better, ease headaches etc. but it can also have dimensional levels of energy, Lemurian connection etc. I think you could write a book on amethyst alone, chuckle.
So don't assume they're wrong, assume the descriptions are all part of a bigger picture.

NP, and just feel what info appeals to you. I.e. with the amethyst the 'basic' thing of tranquility and peace may be what you need and like, while with a green calcite you not be interested in the basic stuff at all (which is mental balance, feeling positive etc) but feel connections with Devas, Mother Earth etc.
Most shops will tell you about the basic stuff, Robert Simmons also tells about the other things. Both are correct. Often quality Ebay sellers come up with good information as well btw.
