Reiki I & II over a weekend. Good or Bad

Hello. I'm planning on driving about 4 hours to take Reiki I on a Saturday and Reiki II the next day. It's a weekend type workshop.

What are your thoughts about taking them back to back. Does it matter?

I took Reiki I and II over a weekend exactly how you describe and I recommend it. I don't have any complaints about it.

I started reading about different people's experiences and some felt like their bodies needed time to adjust, heal, etc. after their first attunement.

I could actually heal and feel energy before getting attuned. I really think it depends on the individual. Some people may get attuned, but they aren't actually ready to receive it in its entirety and that's why there is an adjustment period. That's just my guess as to why some people are able to heal others with no attunement at all and some go to a class and still can't quite feel it. I don't see anything wrong with getting two attunements in one week. People don't even need attunements in order to heal. I got mine simply for the certificate that came along with it.

I m having some questions about distant
attunements and all. I hope u wll clarify
them-------
My teacher from whom i learnt the USUI reiki 1
and 2 in consecutive Two Days, said that now u
have to complete 21 days self healing practice
( Hand Positions and all) then only u should heal
others and only after that u are qualified to have
Reiki 3rd degree.
Q--1. Why 21 days practice??
Q--2. Does time limitations have some
importance inbetween the attaining of Reiki
degrees, especially Master Degree?
Q--3. According to my teacher Reiki Master
Degree along with Reiki 1 and 2 can not be given
the same day. He quoted an example of Electrical
Energy. He Reiki Master Degree can be compared
to a high electric voltage that can not be
delivered to a person at once because of its
dangerous and serious Repercussions. I want to
ask that how much is the truth hidden in his
lines?
Q--4. There are some Sites on the internet who
give Reiki Master Degree Distant Attunement
along with Reiki 1 and 2 by listening to an audio
or watching a video (On Youtube) . They also do
not emphasise much on the time duration for
getting these Degrees, like my Teacher told me.
Are such attunements really worthy?
Q--5. There is an image shown on one web site.
What happens ---
you see that image ,, and when you read below
the image ,, it is written that,
"congrats, you are now Reiki Master, this image
has been so empowered that whoever see it get
attuned to the Reiki Master Degree instantly."
I want to ask again that is it Reliable??
Q--6. If somebody here tells me-- "Yes,, These
attunements are perfectly Reliable" Then which
symbols should b used and how to practise this?
Becoz in maximum of these attunements, no
special instructions have been given about the
type of Reiki (USUI, KARUNA OR OTHERS) and
how to practice it,, especially about the symbols
that which symbols are how, when and where to
b used.
OR is it like this that you can use symbols and
take many other protections and precautions by
your own intelligence by Searching over internet
correspinding to or prevelent in the type of Reiki
you are attuned to??
Can anybody tell the TRUTH??

Attunement takes place on the basis of principle--
'ENERGY EXCHANGE' and the best method of
energy exchange according to him is - 'Money'.
He further told me that,
" If there is More money transfer , more Reiki
Energy Exchange will take place. (from healer to
practitioner/patient)and, the maximum money
limit will b set by the healer."
In you people's Opinion, upto how much level the
statesments made by my teacher are true?
If these are true to some extent or solely true on
the basis of Exchange of Energy ( Except Money),,
then on which principle's basis are some great
people providing distant Reiki attunements and
Distant Energy healing.
*** ((However personally, I doubt if Money
exchange principle is true/right,, becoz in my
opinion in the way of Spirituality/ Spiritual
Growth, money stands NOWHERE, Right??))

Some teachers feel you need the 3 weeks for a "cleansing process"

All teachers have different teaching methods. I was trained by a Karuna Reiki Master who is a member of the International Center for Reiki Training. ICRT. There is an abundance of info on their website.

I wouldn't get an attunement over the internet. That's just me.

I would say no. Again, this is my personal feeling.

Again, there are many different teachers out there. I found a teacher who is very traditional, passionate Reiki Shihan (teacher). She's not comfortable with the "Master" title.

Symbols & attunements are just "parts" of Reiki. It's very spiritual with a wealth of history. You get what you put into it. I'm sure you will find a teacher who resonantes with you.
