Foxes
There is a family of foxes living at the end of our close. Got a couple of pictures before they realised I was watching them....so lovely. Four cubs and the mother.

Good find, Honza. Do you live in an urban or rural area?

They are delightful! Thank you for the lovely pictures Honza. You seem to have been able to get quite close to them. Their den can't be far away. I hope they are able to live in peace there, bless them!

This past weekend my grandson and I were out in the wilds of South West Texas bow hunting wild hogs....
After most of the morning of "walking and stalking" We both sat down on some rocks on the side of a hill to drink some water and chat like the best buddies we are when Nick noticed a grey fox about 75 meters away poking around in the rocks and grass.....
The fox was clearly poking around for a mouse or something else they like to eat and being a bit of a young fox.... less experienced about things that like to eat fox's..... was not watching around like an older more mature fox would...
So while we were sitting there watching the fox......a good sized shadow....a shadow with wings... went right over us....the shadow looked big enough I thought a small plane had flown over us....
But no....when we looked up....it was a mature Golden Eagle with a wingspan of at least 6 feet.....and right before our eyes the eagle stooped and dived on that fox!
And almost got him too!
But the young fox dived into a crack in the rocks and got away having learned a lesson about paying attention to his surroundings....a painful lesson because the eagle had one talon full of fox fur when he pulled up from his dive.....
