How do you love yourself when you're sad?

What do you guy's do when you feel sad, and dont beat yourself up? I've got myself into a pickle, but I dont know how to be loving to myself, or how to go about it. What do you do? I'd love to hear x

If I feel sad I honour how I feel and let myself feel it.

Whether that means crying, sharing it out or writing it out of me, I let myself be in that space.

What I do is I go and learn something new, theres no higher ego boost than learning new stuff and becoming wiser

As Silent said, go with it and pamper yourself through it,,,

Take off the boxing gloves and do, look at, feel, touch, smell, taste and eat everything you enjoy

Just let yourself feel your sadness. Look after yourself best you can. Like go to bed early, eat properly, drink enough, ect. Treat yourself.. just think of it like being sick. You don't beat yourself up when you're sick because it's something you can't control.. it just happens. So you stay in bed all day and wait till you get better. Well being sad is exactly the same. I remember once when I was going through a rough period I literally just spent the whole week as if I was physically sick. It was very comforting to myself and I came out of it much stronger. So I would recommend that :)

I treat myself like a good mother does. I let myself know if there is something to learn or develop, whilst accepting with compassion what I feel and the situation that has happened.

I recently read something that helped me. It said that to begin with, real love is a feeling of acceptance, its an unconditional essence. It has no judgement, it has no polar opposite. It is the all, oneness. Your higher self, the I Am presence, your true self is love. It loves you without conditions, accepts every part of you. If you can feel its presence by meditating on your heart centre you will feel this love surround you. Become one with it..... it will be all you need, for then you will be love itself.

I usually beat myself up, and after I'm beaten to a pulp, I get revenge.

Lot of great ideas, but this one was especially nice, I like it a lot.

...And have buddies like Gem who can make you snicker out of your sadness.
