I visited a clairvoyant

I visited a clairvoyant yesterday and to be honest he mainly told me stuff I already knew, he said there was an elder man there " in his sunday best " but if it's who I summize it was I never even met him cos he died years before I was born ....

Today was a special anniversary and he never picked up on that, he did pick up however that I'm " like him " <---his words and I also got the same response when I visited another clairvoyant over 20 years ago . . .

Can clairvoyants not give people with "the potential gift" a proper reading ?

I think it depends whether a reading is accurate or not. But my reasons are not due to the receiving parties abilities. Accuracy and exact info are due to the ability of the individual doing the reading or what your spirit guides think you need to know at the time of the reading. Our own abilities I Don't think block outsiders.

I went to a clairvoyant, last June, had a card reading, which I couldn't really relate to, was told something about a certain flower that I should have in my garden "because my mother was looking down and thought so" (a flower she never particularly liked by the way...but I kept my mouth shut about that.)
Then I was told my father was often with me, trying to communicate with me, walked beside me a lot of the time, and often played with my hair (the clairvoyant didn't know that if my father was by me I would sense him as I have no difficulty sensing a presence beside me, even slightly. Also messing with my hair would have been the very last thing my Dad would ever have done! That wasn't his way. He would have been more likely to play a tune on the piano for me! Or some other way of showing me affection.)
She seemed to have not the slightest clue why I was there. The actual reason I went she never mentioned.

But...a few weeks later I found out for myself exactly what I was seeking! I can't help thinking we should rely on our own experiences and intuitions if we can.

If you want proper evidence from the person you need to see a medium they connect to spirit,a psychic reads the energy as well as uses cards runes etc
everybody is different and everybodys gifts will be more or less developed than anothers.

I have also wondered this before...my thinking was that trying to decipher whos a fake firstly if it didnt resonate with me at all, then secondly if the energies act like two magnets the deflect one another... A scientific theory had to be thrown in there SOME where!

I think false readings are being sold for money every day, all over the world. There are honest people selling skilled readings too, but it is such an easy thing to fake for those with good 'normal' skills in cold reading people. Sounds to me like you found one of the latter.
