Coming from your mind
Hi all, I think when you see awful things in the astral or in the vibrational stage it mostly comes from your own mind. The author Buhlman of ap books said, he was in the astral and he was looking at the stairs. I think he said stairs. He kept looking at it and he began to get afraid. He saw a mammoth. When he returned back into his body, he realised it came from his own mind. He created it. This morning I heard music. I was not asleep. I could have ap but I wrecked it. It sounded like my CD player was on but I knew it was not on. No other music was on in the house or outside. How could that come from my mind? How can I make it up when I am not musical or have any musical talent? I cannot play music or think of music. It sounded very real like I was listening to my CD or radio. What are your thoughts.

Well, I agree that a lot of things we experience especially when first going out of body, and we haven't got very far -can be from the subconscious manifesting stuff. Or we can attract things to us by our state of mind.
We definitely can manifest things subjectively. But in my experience these things have a different "feel" to anything objective (with a life of its own) we encounter
But as for the music...I have heard all sorts of random things when first getting out of body, and sometimes in the vibrational stage. I have heard heavenly music (wow! It was so beautiful, like nothing I've ever heard before in my life!) I have heard someone hammering nails in....I have heard growling....birds singing in the night....someone sawing wood....all these sounds didn't happen recently but some time ago.

I have found that spirits are very capable of making music that we can hear during the moments of falling asleep and waking up when we have access to astral hearing. I have had it happen many times. A few times when I started praying during a false awakening, sleep paralysis, or lucid dream beautiful music has started playing. One time after challenging a spirit the night before going to sleep it created a rock song that sounded absolutely perfect like a hit. I can't remember the lyrics but the hook went like this "you are one dumb son of a b-word." The chances of me creating that perfect song in my head the exact night after I challenged a spirit is astronomical and improbable. Sometimes spirits create sounds and music that we hear, sometimes we actually can pick up on radio stations during the beginning stages of a projection, and sometimes we just pick up random noises bouncing around the RTZ. It's more likely to be one of those three things than your mind creating it. People are far too quick to blame things on the mind that they don't understand, it's a generic answer for a very specialized question that rarely ends up being the true answer.

I confirm
that is right, I also pick up during the moments of falling asleep and waking up on the TV/console games being played closeby outside my room at the hotel/apartments.
And time to time pick up on radio's music even when getting on with my day as usual, but I manged to tone it right down now.

Oooh I really like this post. I've had what I thought were dreams about music. This was before I knew about ap. I remember hearing this amazing guitar solo, I was even able to remember parts of it when I woke up, however it was way above my skill level to be reproduced on guitar. Even creatively I couldn't have written it myself.

You also don't necessarily have to be in the astral to hallucinate things. During sleep paralysis while falling alseep or coming out of it people will have hypnogogic and hypnopompic hallucinations also.

A lot of famous musicians actually get their music from these types of sources. Bach claimed that his music was inspired by the Gods and the Heavens. I think if we could honestly see the source of some of the best music this world has ever known that without a doubt a portion of it will have come from spiritual sources and spiritual experiences.

Bach is one of my favourite musicians! I didn't know that about him. Thanks A.E.
I once went to a rock festival. I slept in a tent. Sleep was more or less impossible until about 2 am or later. And then babies started crying about dawn (4-5am) So there was a one to three-hour 'window of opportunity' to get something that resembled sleep.
During one of these nights, after there had been a period of silence and I drifted into what I thought was sleep, I heard the most amazing rock music I had ever heard. Around 6am I got out of bed and wandered around asking people "who was that band who were playing well after everyone had shut down for the night? They were the best I've ever heard!"
No-one knew what the heck I was talking about. Said the last band to play had been around 1am and they wound up around two-thirty, then nothing.....
