Trying to find my spirit guide

Whilst meditating I am trying to find my spirit guide I was close I felt the presence of someone there and I think I also heard breathing...
I spoke out to this presence but I got no reply back I have tried this about 6 times today and no luck :(

Yeah I know how frustrating this can be! may be we are missing something.

If you are shown information I would just ask different questions until you get a visualization or if you - hear- something ask until you hear.. being relaxed - with a mind that is not thinking about other things.. Try asking for the name or a visual of what they look like.. or say tell me what you want me to know.

Dont worry or feel like you are failing every good thing takes time..
and there are good people here to help you.

It sounds like you are expecting an audible reply? If so, you're unlikely to get one. Far better to look for unexpected changes in temperature, a ruffling or tickling of your hair, a sound or memory image, a scent. In short, something quite subtle.
