Great Awakening
There are many who believe we are nearing "A Great Awakening," because of current events, namely, the Corona Virus.
What are your opinions or feelings about the possibility of such an event? We have suffered two great wars, one pandemic early in the last century. Is the world now ripe for a major shift in human/spiritual perception?

We have had other Great Awakenings.
What is going on now does not seem to follow the pattern of the other Great Awakenings........ but then time will tell.

I believe: No and No. Those are just wishful thinking, that have the negative result of conditioning people to hope and not to actively pursue current problems' solving.

Was there any awakening of any kind after the Black Plague, 1347, 30 million died or the 1918 Flu (500 million died)?
I don't think so.
16 million die of heart disease and stroke in 2016 around the world --any awakening?
It just doesn't seem it to me.
This one is diff, indeed, because of the economic fall out.
I have no idea. Man is so dense and also resilient ---it might take more than this.

Several Awakenings after the Black Plague. Mostly in the 18th and 19th century.

Am I one of those wishful thinkers? Yes time will tell.
One thing I know, the shift will come, ready or not.
My people tell me, it is locked into our time line.
(the funny thing is, there is no such thing as a time line, they keep on telling me, but every one knows it as a time line, so I use this term)
When it will manifest in this reality remains to be seen.
I can not wait, this is the point when I can leave this reality; or just before.

Everyone says there is a great awakening coming and some say it has already started
But what has actually started is the great falling away .
As people continue to have enlightenment experiences and think that they are on some better path and as all of these spiritual practices from the past continue to become more and more popular the world forgets that the only thing that has survived from the past is these religions and spiritual practices and everything else is dead and gone
Much like a disease or parasite these concepts create spiritual illusion in our minds and experience that feeds our bodies and mind to make us want it even more
And if aloud to continue eventually the disease will kill the body and only a few will survive and for a time there will be no time and minds will be free but eventually what happened will be forgotten again and when it is forgotten it will be found again like a seed in a dry cave waiting to be found and planted the beliefs and concepts of spirituality will land upon the fertile soil of the mind and soul of mankind again.
