We met at age 10, became best friends, dated in high school, then lost touch after school for 20 years. He came back in my life 2 years ago. While we are not in a romantic relationship, he is still my best friend, the person I trust most, can say anything to, and know he will be there for me. We now do charity work together.

Some people you just have a very special connection with that does not break, no matter what it's called.
