Grateful
I feel really different this morning. For the first time, I finally can shun a woman's words of doubt that she expressed to me years ago. I feel so grateful and alittle happy to know that she is completely WRONG!

It wasn't that it was so intense, it was at a very vulnerable moment. As a person that practiced LOA , it shocked me , her limiting belief and I was having doubts of my own. It just stuck for a long time. |

Good for you.
It's sad how we accept negative & false perceptions/put-downs from others.
Once we 'know thyself', negatives are only taken to heart IF they're true. |

Nobody truly "knows themselves", but many think they do. I disagree that negatives that are taken to heart are true. Negatives have many sources from many different realms, ultimately have no room in a higher being. The higher you go, the less it touches you, but it's not "true" |

I believe it's all choice. If negatives are taken to heart that is a choice just as when they are not taken to heart that is another choice.
Perhaps if negatives are taken to heart they indeed are true for the person taking them to heart but just as "knowing oneself" is subjective so is truth and perception is, once again, choice.

I know who I am in this life & where I'm going at it's end. After a long struggle with fear, doubts & a poor self-image (that came from years of abuse) it is sufficient in the here & now.
What I meant by "negatives" - put-downs like; 'you're fat, dumb, ignorant' etc.
People can say what they like to me but I don't take it to heart unless I think it's true.
For e.g., Christians love to say that my work in the world of spirit is "demonic". Although I may get annoyed at their sheer ignorance & rudeness, it does not affect my reality/perception of myself one little bit because I know their opinion comes from fear, ignorance & based on a false doctrine. |

Again , negatives are not true and abuse is demonic in nature. Situations well, can get complicated, which is also lesser in levels. Sorry you had a harsh past....
