Homeopathy

I am mildly surprised that Homeopathy doesn't have a section on the forum, but anyway....

I have also posted in acupuncture for the same query:

Is acupuncture / Homeopathy good for anxiety and tension? I hold a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders to the point where I have been told the tightness is 'horrendous'!! I don't notice it any more to be honest, just the odd morning I wake up and feel a bit tight... But I think a lot of it centres round my anxiety and I also do a lot of driving in my job and use a laptop I am quite sensitive and work with vulnerable people which often finds me tossing and turning overnight worrying about them, hence why I am awake now, in the UK, I should be fast asleep! I just wondered if it would help...? I also have some other health issues and I am being drawn to Homeopathy, (peri menopausal, low level depression, insomnia and lack of energy, probably related to lack of sleep!) but can't actually decide between the two

Any help/ suggestions / experiences gratefully received!

Thank you

Edited to add I have been having weekly Chinese therapy/ massage for a few months but this doesn't seem to help either and I can no longer afford to go weekly, but it has only helped to a point anyway...

From experience, I tried homeopathy for my severe anxiety, panic attacks. I got to a point where many things were coming out, but it never helped with those issues in particular. I tried herbals, such as chamomile and valerian root which did nothing for me. Chamomile got me irritable, so my homeopath gave me Ignatia to counteract it. It's 10+ yrs and I detest chamomile. Anyway, back to homeopathy, I still use it for certain acutes, but not for anxiety.

For anxiety, I was told by my homeopath that I needed to pray. So I started searching for a path that works for me. After 5+ years and advanced classes, I am a lot calmer or can calm down sooner. The issues are not gone, but the deeper core issues are finally surfacing. Don't know if it will go away, but I'm not as concerned about it anymore. Some days are easy and some days are really bad. At least most days are fine.

I'm not saying that homeopathy won't work, I'm only saying that it didn't work for me. I heard plenty of good things for others.

Good luck.
