I go to pot , my mouth won't work and it dribbles and drops off my chin...

Yes I know it's gross , but my world...
Get used to it ...LOL.

But I've got to be honest, the kit last night left me a bit cold and dry of mouth !

Watched a documentary on BBC about Wayne Rooney
last night, it was brilliant. I'd forgotten how good he was when he was 18.
And there I say England should have won that tournament 2004 Euros, Rooney
got injured during the game against Portugal and Sol Campbell had a good goal
ruled out ! Strange days. Just heard, RIP Kevin Campbell.

You say it so casually Joe. I would say England had their 'best shot' in 2004 yes, the best squad they've had this century... but there were other countries in 2004 that were equal or better and they could make the same claim you made. In the end, Greece won.

Yeah Joe I watched that doco of Rooney as well. I also did t realise how good he was. The trouble is his mouth got in the way too many times and he actually acted like a bit of a thug a number of times as well. That was his downfall. But to be honest I think he is generally a good guy.

Yay! Netherlands got a win tonight against Poland. Our Cody Gakpo scored!

England later tonight but too late for me. I hope you get a good win.

They just seemed a bit unlucky that's all, looking back on it through the eyes
of Wayne Rooney in the Docu. Portugal had some really great players like Figo etc Ronaldo was still emerging.

yeah he gave some guy a very bad elbow who has said he was too young etc.
Gakpo was good. Holland have a great defence at least on paper, Nathan Ake, Mickey Van Der Ven and Virgil ...they look like they could do well. Always felt Rooney burnt very bright for a couple of years and kind of faded into the background a bit unlike Messi, Maradona, Ronaldo etc. who were consistently at the top although the stats for Rooney as top England goal scorer say different .

Hi all. Sorry I've been AWOL .
I'm not up to scratch am I ?
I'm surprised you haven't all sacked me by now and brought Ian wright or Alan shearer in to do a better job.
I'd say Roy Keane, but he's probably getting sacked quicker than me hahaha.

It's because I'm just completely exhausted by 3 or 4 pm.
I had to watch the England game on i player this morning at 3am when I got up !!!

So, quick re-cap .
A draw for Slovenia / Denmark which was a good result for England.
I was happy to see Erikson score.
A win for Netherlands ( although I slept through second half) .
And a win for England ( but only just )
Looked good in first 30 minutes then the rest of the game was equally matched .
A fantastic save from Serbian keeper from kanes header , and without a doubt a brilliant save from Pickford late on to Avert a draw.

I know where you're all coming from with "looking" back and seeing the talent .
I watched some world cup games from the 90's and I was the same watching Lineker and Gascoigne play and remember thinking "WOW " , can't recall this first time round.
As for Rooney, please don't hate me , but I just don't, and never did like him.
For some reason I just really dis- liked him as a person , so I found it impossible to line or respect him as a footballer .
I know it sounds awful.
I was the same with Diego Maradonna and Carol Vorderman ( although I fully realise Caol Vorderman was not a footballer !!!)....

Sky has France . Surely Angel had France ?
