....Oh, and another friendly at wembley for England against Iceland on Friday evening .
These are "letting the lads out" to see who will make it into the Euro squad type games.
Should be interesting to see who makes the final squad.

Hey SirN I didn’t know about Aberdeen doing that. How good is that hey. Good for them.
Just seen the highlights of the England game. So happy to see our little Trent score a goal and give a really good assist.

Yes, that was when Alex Ferguson was their manager and he presided over a golden era for the club. They disrupted the Old Firm duopoly of the Scottish League and won that for themselves. And they also won in Europe, with the 1983 Cup Winners’ Cup being the stand-out result. That was the heyday of the CWC, which was a strange competition, but popular with fans.
Trent did pretty well last night when he came on, and he gives us another option in midfield. He took his goal very well. I wasn’t too fussed about the result last night because it was really just a run-out for the players. I was pleased that we came through it without any more injuries, though I’m not going to sneeze at 3-0. |
