[Unseeking Seeker]

Drawing close to the aura, that attracts,
we savour the scent of its love perfume
but as time passes by, our heart retracts,
since magic that once was, fails to resume.

The rhythm we followed, we now unfollow,
because perhaps love’s echo returned not,
neglect an insult heart could not swallow,
so the rhyme that enchanted, soul forgot.

Ego spawned contractions bind and confine,
anchoring consciousness in a dream world,
reprieve granted when head and heart align,
with the throb of love, flag of God unfurled.

Feel each tremor: ask, to whom does it come ~
Negate nothing: each embrace is welcome

wherever there be thought know ego is at play
even if the thought be delicate and subtle
simply because thoughts are dualistic
and light of Self is transcendent
poised beyond space-time
in subjective awareness
dwelling in peace

Horizons blurred, goalposts shifted
The genie granted three wishes
Yet our heart aimlessly drifted
Weary at doing the dishes

Hall of mirrors made heart shiver
Horizons blurred, goalposts shifted
Soul thanked not God, Who’s the giver
Till erst dark desires were sifted

With veil of delusion lifted
Though soul was free, ego was bound

In silence, peace within was found

We let lust die that soul may fly
Bliss bestowed, we’re truly gifted
Why’d we regret moments gone by
