This is half-curiousity, half-research (I'm interested in tailoring my questions a bit more for participants in the Tarot/Oracle Practice Thread http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/sh...=89118&page=74) :)

So...

What are you currently working on in tarot/oracle cards? Trying to get a fix on a particular card, a new deck/spread, or a certain type of question?

What I feel I'm okay at: I feel like I've got a reasonable fix on career-related questions, and oddly, real estate questions as well (still love to get asked questions on this topic though!).

What I'd like to improve on:

- Intuitive links! I still pay for the odd pro read (because... professional) and I always walk away so inspired by how talented they are and how their intuition/cognitive interpretation of cards is so far ahead of mine.

- More cracks at dream interpretation, using Pisces Moon's cool spread

- Health-related Q's - not something I ever intend to be an expert at but one of the pro readers I see does do them, so I'm keen to at least try to get better/learn the health meanings associated with diff cards. May need to look into diff spreads for this topic, too

- Spiritual-based questions, because any past life Q in particular has me sitting on a NFI

- Animal-based questions (ditto feeling), eg pet cats and so on

- Future prediction questions (because unusual and fun, esp if to do with national/global events)

Predictive spreads hmm,
I have found that it depends on the person getting the reading, some people are under the impression that outcomes are set in stone, while others seem determined to 'prove you wrong', then don't want to accept responsibility that their course of action has changed the outcome.

I guess my weakest point is'soul purpose' readings. I don't feel tarot can be used to fast track you to something you are meant to learn on your journey through life.

Similarly 'past life' readings, which I have done purely as 'entertainment purposes', for a number of reasons:
1) they are totally unverifiable.
2) the soul returns to make good its mistakes, if we were to remember what they were we would avoid situations as opposed to facing them and learning from them.
So, in a way I feel it's connected to soul purpose.

I would be interested in practicing reading for current affairs and global issues too.

I spend a lot of time on deck comparison and deck study, and how a deck 'speaks', what type of readings it is best suited to due to its energy. I love comparing symbolism, imagery and the creators intention of the cards.

I am currently working on some inner child spreads and shadow work spreads (surprise surprise) and furthering some self empowerment readings, which I may throw out, on here, at the weekend (being samhain/halloween) using some of my more personal decks (yes, the darker ones )
