confusing spread about relationship

I did a reading about my relationship with my partner and I'm thoroughly confused. any insight and clarity would be appreciated.

for the direction that should be avoided, I drew the 2 of Cups
for the right direction, I drew the 7 of Cups
for the point, I drew the 9 of Cups
and for where the road will lead to, I drew the 4 of Cups

initially I was just amazed at having drawn all cups, and this seemed like a good omen, but upon analyzing each card, I don't understand. it seems to be telling me that our relationship itself should be avoided, that the right direction is many paths (what?!), that the point is what I want, or wish for, and that our relationship will lead to being generally happy but yet unfulfilled.

does anyone have any other interpretations that make more sense?

maybe I'm wrong but I'd say the cards wanted to tell you that you shouldn't reset your own feelings for purpose of harmony. Instead.. keep attention of your needs!

It seems to be telling you to look at the relationship clearly. I think emotion and dreaming of the future are clouding your judgment. The 7 of Cups is saying "Take off your rose-colored glasses."

The 4 of Cups is a card of feeling comfortable and content. Things are good, but it would very easy to get bored, or take the relationship for granted. It might not be the most passionate or exciting relationship.
