Your favorite book on crystals and why

I'd love to hear your recommendations.

My favourite book on crystals is: The Crystal Bible, by Judy Hall. It has all the information on how to cleanse, programme and energise crystals. If you are looking for something about divination then pick: Crystal Healing Book and card pack, by Tilly Lister, it has a deck of cards inside and has a picture of the crystal on them and it's powers. It teaches you divination and shows you the power of 36 crystals. I would recommend The Crystal Bible beacause it has nearly all the crystals in it, hope I helped.

Again the Crystal Bible and other books by Judy Hall, all very interesting and very useful, also books by Sue and Simon Lilly, again very useful books.

Yes I too like The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall for easy reference and good information.
Love Is In the Earth by Melody is also a good book and more extensive.:)

I think all the "Crystal Bibles" are pretty good.

Hall has 4 or 5 out now. There's another book that's even better that has stones grouped by color, which is a brilliant idea. If you don't have a clue what the stone is, where else would you start? I'll post later if I remember the book or author...I've completely forgotten. Maybe someone else knows.

I don't like Melody's book for two reasons: First, there is an enormous amount of incorrect information in it, and second, her ego is so massive that it has a negative impact on everything. (And it's really pricey for self-published book.)

Thanks! I picked up The Crystal Workshop by Judy Hall, which comes with a CD. Should be interesting.

I like Love Is In The Earth, The Crystal Bible and Scott Cunningham's Crystal book. I've had all 3 on my shelf for years. Katrina Raphaell's books are a worthwhile read too. I'm a bit iffy when it comes to the supposed metaphysical meanings of various stones. I do believe stones have energy but the rest, eh. It does make for interesting reading though...
