Ostara!
Blessings all! With Ostara coming up, I'm curious how you all celebrate it. I will likely be doing a group ritual with friends, but I would also like to pay homage myself in my own way as I am a solitary practioner. However, I am a bit stuck because the only ritual I currently have at my disposal is the one from Scott Cunningham's Guide for the Solitary Practioner. The ritual seems a bit more formal than what I was hoping for, but maybe you could help with that?

You could use Cunningham's ritual as a guide but change it to suit you. Or there's a ritual here: paganwiccan.about.com/od/ostarathespringequinox/ht/OstaraSolRite.htm
Or - write your own from the heart

See, I was hoping to write one, but I was looking at what other people did for their ritual for inspiration. I don't want to copy anyone's ritual, just maybe see what speaks to me and go from there. I've never actually come up with my own ritual before, so this is an all new sort of experience.

Seleste, you don't need words, just feelings/emotions. Ostara is a time of rebirth and promise. Just go somewhere green and contemplate Nature

The rite that I do is very similar to this one: thewiccalife.blogspot.ca/2011/01/solitary-ostara-ritual.html
I'm lucky enough that I have lots of property and I can do it outside in a clearing in our forest. As long as most of the snow is gone, of course.
Don't worry if you don't have all your tools, you can cast a circle with your finger if need be
If you're following a particular tradition then you would want to do the ritual that that particular tradition does but if you are just starting out and are not sure of the trad you want to follow - or don't wish to follow a particular trad - then it's great to write your own as long as you understand what the rite is about and what is being celebrated.

Thank you both! I hope the snow is melted soon. (probably not going to happen here in the North East US) I think I'll end up doing just that.

That sounds wonderful!! Like SelesteSollune, I live in Northeast USA and there is no sign of Spring anywhere.
Jenny Crow, thank you for that link you posted. I enjoyed reading and looking around there.
