Clogged Sink

There was a severely clogged sink that someone was pouring hot water into and they asked me if I ever used poison and I said yes. That is all I remember from the dream.

The first thing that came to me was suppressed emotions or the inability or reluctance to express your emotions about something heated, like a hot button issue or topic.

Just by looking at the title alone, I thought problem. it sounded to me like emotions of being frustrated and stuck in a rut.

I am no dream expert, but that's what came to mind.

Thanks guys. Yes, there is a reluctance to express the hot emotions so to speak and a fear that they will overflow all over the place, I get overwhelmed by them but I am not grasping what the poison could possibly mean.

Maybe using "poison" got you into hot water in the past.

The poison may refer to the unexpressed emotions that are clogging the sink. Your use of poison is your indisposition to express said emotions, which causes you illness. I think this dream serves to remind you that holding in emotions is detrimental to your health. Maybe you already know that, but needed to be reminded for some reason, hence your difficulty to interpret this dream.

Ok, thank you everyone for your input. I think I may know what it is about. I have spent my whole life suppressing my emotions. Now I can't so the sink is filling up because I am not suppressing anymore but I am also not able to release them either (clog) so they are building up in me and I fear they will spill out into my life and make a mess of things for me (sink close to overflowing). The ones that are really distressing me are my anger (hot water). When those come about I tend to turn on myself, beating myself for flipping out thus adding to the already clogged sink. So I think my higher is basically asking me if putting poison into my system with negative self talk is working for me to clear the emotions. Basically asking if beating myself up for having a stream of emotions that are getting clogged is fixing the situation. I have to concede it isn't. Even though I don't know how to unclog the sink beating myself up about it is not a viable solution.

The poison aspect could be referencing the general toxicity that may have caused the situation, but it could also be a call to let it all out, because once you release the poison, the clog is cleared.

Yes, I wondered if it was being posed as a solution but there was an emphatic yes from me that I tried it and it didn't work and I was stressing about it all but I got woken up by my alarm at that point so I didn't get a response from the guy whether I was using it wrong or needed to use it in some other fashion.
