I Am Love

Don't run away from me,
leave like a frightened deer.
I understand your panicked
world, I sense your growing fear.

I was there as dark ones called,
to mock, reject, and stare.
I loved and cried with you,
I was the one who cared.

It wasn’t me that gave you fright
nor spoke hurtful words to you.
I left you not alone with pain
from hateful words untrue.

I have shared your sadness,
felt lonely as you felt.
Consider our shared feelings,
as with you I have dwelt.

Please don't, not now reject,
as others rejected you.
You know I have not harmed,
I'm the one that's been so true.

When I read your poem, I get the sense of "I am your God and I love you".
If that is the case, it is a nice dedication to your divine.
