Awareness in the present. Perfect. Especially when this includes multiple levels of reality.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I reckon that walking about with an everything is illusion and we are all nothing viewpoint if that is not your personal experience is not helpful at all.
Sure, arrive at that realization of your own accord and in your own time but smoking concepts about it creates more harm than good and can divert you from what is in front of you.
The full extent of illusion will reveal itself to all of us in good time. We don't need the ongoing narration.

There is so much more to the "this reality is an illusion" statement. The statement is important, because then you find out what is behind that statement. You realize how consciousness works, how you work with consciousness when you are in body, how everything is interconnected, how your actions affect you, and someone else... and a plethora of other things.

It definitely needs further investigation.

It is important insofar as you make it so. The inherent nature of existence will prevail. If you want to explore illusion, then do so. It's level of importance will manifest appropriately in your life as required but in order to understand your own inquiry, you must also see that your concepts about illusion are also illusionary. Allow it to unfold as you need it to.

Hi Buzz,
What i'm trying to get at, is the statement is important, but only because of the layers and layers of the nature of reality beneath it. I personally am not invested in the illusion of this reality, but bringing everything into balance.

As Morpheus put it to Neo: Drink the red pill, and see how far down the rabbit hole you go.

Vandanta philosophy states that reality is subjective, consisting of ideas and perceptions. For example dreams seem very real when we are asleep, but when we wake up, we see that it was all a dream. This philosophy claims that we can also be fooled when we are awake, and we don't ever really know for sure what is real. So it is our thoughts and mental images that are important, since everything else may only be an illusion.

Thoughts and images are also illusory and ever changing.
Look into the core of being underneath all mind activity.
Only that silent essence can be trusted to be real.
