I'll admit right off the bat. I listen to a wide variety of music genres. I don't really look for deeper meaning or something to meditate by. I listen to music because it's pretty or has a nice beat and rhythm and tune to dance to.
However, a couple days ago (thank you marvel that is Youtube) I ran across Sting's song 'Thousand Years'.
I've really tried hard to not really think hard about it or look into it. Just enjoy it for what it is. A good, smooth song to listen to, but from the first moment it started playing, I noticed that, for the majority of the song, Sting remains in about 3 single, clear notes. One of them is, as I've been looking up, I think it's called #D1? Corresponds to the sacral chakra.
Well, whatever note it is, I really just can't get past the fact that listening to it sorta gives off something of a healing tone or healing vibe to it, especially where he sings
'I stiiiiill loooooove yoooouuuuu. I stiiiiiilllll waaaaaaant yoooouuuuuu'.
It's not the words. It's the pitch he uses.
So, anywho, the thing I'm asking here is... is it just me or does Sting's song here really have a healing vibe to it? O_o??
Have a listen for yourself by going
Here Jump to 3:14 to the song and have a listen.
Or you can just listen from the beginning of the song. Either way will do.
