I prefer bold, italic, or bold-italic for emphasis/inflection; or CAPS, or some combination thereof. Plus smilies!

Generally speaking, THIS IS CONSIDERED YELLING in internet etiquette, so I keep it to a minimum, lol! And huge text can often be considered too attention-grabbing (some consider it to be yelling as well).

Good points, you two. I have been using all caps on usually just one word to place the emphasis, but from now on, I'll take the suggestion and use bold and/or italics. I like that idea.
