You can believe there is a God or you can also believe that there is no God. If you have not seen or experienced God then it is only a matter of belief which is obviously not true for you. If you have experieced God then it is true for you. If you have not experienced God then you cannot say that there is no God becuase then you are claiming that you know everything which is not true. Human beings can experience physical world through their senses and our senses do not have capability to know everything that exists. Even many animals have senses that humans cannot perceive. Many animals can see in dark and many animals can smell that humans cannot. Humans even cannot know how animals perceive thier world. So humans have only limited capability to know the physical world and have no capability to know non-physical world. Does non-physical world exist? We do knot know for sure. Only other tools we have is our thinking and feeling capabilities. Thinking is only our imagination and have no capability to perceive truth. Feelings are response of our body to our thinking. So we cannot know the truth through our feelings and emotions. Therefore if we have not experienced God then we can say that we do not know whether God exists or not. So if you do not know then you can try to find it whether God exists or not if interested to do so and you will get interested because your mind cannot accept anything for which it does not have an answer. Mind try to find an answer for everything and if it cannot find an answer then it try to make it through its imagination or just rest on a belief.

I agree. Though I think it's an overstatement to say you have the truth when this is your philosophy.

Hello,

God seems to be of definition when speaking of it.

So it seems to me people go around and around as to how it can best be defined.

Is definition what creates the idea of God?

What or who is one speaking of when referring to God? Again this seems to lead to a round about of debate and exchange of ideas, philosophies, and what one feels it to be.

So when one says god exists or not in what matter?

God/Creator/Universe/Source/Great mystery all ways the mind can connect.
How does one truly convey what goes beyond the mind and have everyone nod in understanding or agreement?

So the question of God is something one either finds with in and round oneself or doesn't. Seems to make no difference in the over all scheme of thing. Still have to live this life and deal with what it presents.

Could be more a question of faith and what one places into it.

Just some thoughts on this. Not directed at anyone or to discourage further exploration on this.

Peace
