emotional center or vortex

Does anyone feel a vortex of emotional energy in the upper chest, inbetween the neck and shoulder? I dont actually mean a chakra or that, just sort of feels like it's becoming more tangible and it's located there, makes me wonder about the origins of talking about emotions being "of the heart" because it's nowhere near my physical heart.
Any similar?

It's sometimes called the 'Upper heart chakra' or the thymus chakra or other names... some say it's the rising of the heart chakra along with the others (not so sure about that meself...). I was advised to breathe Divine Peace and Love into that area - helps alot.
