Reiki “Marinade” and reiki on horses
Hello All,
I’ve got a couple questions for any reiki practitioners out there.
1) I have found that my reiki acts like a marinade. My recipients will feel a difference the next day, but some a few hours after my treatments. Most of them feel a difference within 6-8 hours. So I make sure to tell them it’s different for each person, but that my treatments “soak” in after a few hours. How is it for your treatments?
2) I did reiki on a horse (about 1000 lbs) and could not believe the immense energy when I began my treatment! It was an incredibly loving horse that worked at a hippotherapy ranch and was lame. Its heart chakra was sooo open. I instantly felt his immense love for humans! But the next day, my left hand ached like I had punched a wall or something. Has anyone else had unusual experiences with horses when doing reiki?

Yes, reiki can work instantly or over time. And we don't get to choose, darn it, it adjusts to the needs of the recipient :-)
I have not reikied a horse so I can't offer anything they're; however, if you locked your hand without knowing it -because you or your hand was overwhelmed with the energy feeling- this could definitely cause the reaction you're speaking of.

Yes, you're right! I was a bit mesmerized by the energetic size of this horse and didn't move my hands around. If you think about it, the LEFT hand receives energy while the RIGHT releases. It was my left hand that hurt the next day. I will have to remember that when I do another large animal.
Thanks!
