slap in the face
I just wanted to share a dream I had recently. My grandmother passed a few years ago and she came through a dream a couple nights ago. It was nice, I don't remember all the details but I remember she was fussing at me for not getting gas for my car the day before and said 'you should have gotten gas like I told you yesterday'. I thought it was funny that she was giving me a hard time about it (just like she was in life), she also began to say "and don't forget to tell your mother-" and then I was slapped in the face and woken up by my daughter. I took that as her slapping my mom and telling her to get it together.
I told her the next day and she said that made sense cause she was a little emotional and down the day before over a situation and asked for reassurance. I think that it's the little things that if we dismiss them, the powerful meanings behind them can be lost. Staying aware of these 'silly' things that happen in our daily lives or dreams can help us remember that no matter how difficult a time we may be having, life continues and you have to just keep marching on.
Oh and yes I should have gotten gas because the next day, I had barely enough to get me to where I was going, I ended up going out of my way to find a gas station because the pumps weren't working at the one near me.
