Hypnic Jerks

I've had these occasionally. However, feeling like I've been slam dunked is a little different. I went to bed last night with ear bud headphones in and Schumann's Resonance on repeat. I was about 15 mins in and I thought I hadn't quite drifted off to sleep when it felt like I was suddenly slammed into. I felt like my whole body bounced off the bed and back down again. I remember nothing after it until I woke up this morning. No recollection of any dreams.

I've not had a hypnic jerk that strong before in fact for a split second straight after I wondered if something had just entered into my body

it sorta sounds to have been a "download" of spiritual energy into your
physical form... which would amount to you becoming more of yourself.

Sounds like you went AP and then returned immediately.
most unintentional AP experiences are recorded or reported with similar accounts. Also sounds of metal clanging is a dead give away. but the body being heavy and falling is a given.
