Hi,

A person with the ability to remove(re-balance) dark energy can do that for them self however no master has every attempted to impose well being on any person.

Dark energy is the consequence of ignorance in my view. What I encourage is influencing a desire for expanding a person's awareness.

The other point I was making is that perception is a very individual thing. What you see as a city of dark energy may in fact be a city evolving in ways which are hard to appreciate. Humanity is like that at this time. Very slowly over many generations, people will learn to think better than they have in previous generations.

I hope these thoughts are easier to understand even if you do not agree with them.

Maybe passing a law to change the name of the city to erase the stigma.
It can be done.

A good meaningful name helps a person to percieve the character that is why we carefully choose a good name for our children.

There are a lot of different answers here, and nobody seems to agree.

I do work with 'dark energy' to try and fix it, or neutralize it. It isn't easy but it can be done. Theoretically, I could do it, or try to, but it might take years and it would probably be very unpleasant.

If everybody tried to do their part, then the 'fixing' wouldn't be so bad, and maybe it would be possible.

If something is worth fighting for, you band together and fight.

For instance, i live in a city which was given the name by a person who was a very dark person, he lived in the darkness, not sure if he practised black magic, but i wouldn't be surprised.

There's a dark cloud hanging over the city. And it has been showing for a couple of centuries. This city should be flourishing, but is always considered the step child in the country that i live.

Personally, I prefer move to other place where the area's 'energy' is matched with my energy, although if I have power to remove it.

For me, 'to be in a position of authority' have two meaning,
1. You feel that you have rights or you want to do it, so you become feels that you are in position of authority.
2. Someone/something give you an order to do it.

From my point of view, it is not about 'dark' or 'light' energy. You comfortable with it or not. If you comfortable with it, you will say good/'light' energy and if not, you will say bad/'dark' energy.
And if I can't move to other place, find the middle way or just accept it.

If a person of strength and authority tried to remove this "darkness" they would likely encounter resistance.

Strangely, I don't think it would be the "darkness" that would resist, but the collective beliefs and thought energy of all those who believe in it. All those people clinging to their preception of the darkness, believing in the darkness, almost claiming the darkness with a sense of identity.

A powerful energy wielder might weaken or "poke holes" in the "darkness" but the collective belief in it would simply strengthen it again in a relatively short amount of time.

To be effective, it would be necessary to convince a significant portion of the population to "let go" of this darkness and stop feeding energy to it. Stop accepting that it is there; start believing that it is not the town's fate or destiny to have it; start living as if the "darkness" is unimportant or even absurd.

Crazy as it sounds, you might even find some citizens clinging to the "darkness" and fighting attempts to remove it. Change, even when it has a good intention, is scary. Better the "status quo" than risking it all, that sort of mentality.

Bottom line: you can't change the course of a river with one rock. You have to have many rocks, and their collective strength, to have any significant effect on the river's flow.

So imho it's a qualified "no" one person cannot lift the darkness... unless the bulk of the citizens around him/her back them up.
