Yes, do your own research. As you can see there are many opinions, the way I see it this is because the terminology varies depending on who you are reading. Also, the material has been tampered with starting with the first sacred texts we now have available to us, so there are pieces here and there to the puzzle and the best we can do is try to go with what resonates to us on a personal level.
I think you are asking about the supposedly original dimensions such as the said creator was to have made. To my understanding these were to be seven. But dimensions could also mean realms, which any high level entity can create from thought forms and beliefs in the astral, such as any number of wanna be gods who desire to have a kingdom, this is one reason no one can say how many there are.
