Old men and Corvettes! I see this all the time in my area, 65+ year old men with Corvettes being total idiots! They park there cars like they own the parking lot just begging for someone like me to mess with there car. Or hammer on the gas until they get to just below the speed limit and continue to drive below the speed limit.

What to do during my August week of annual leave.
Going to Brighton for an overnight stay.
Which places to suggest to a workmate who likes exploring.
Which gold medals GB will win in the Olympics today.
Manifesting a magnificent holiday to Barcelona next month.

I live on the shores of lake Michigan, for those of you who don't know it, it's a massive lake part of a even more massive chain of lakes called the Great Lakes in the Northern United States. These lakes make there own "microclimates" and it's common to find species of plants and animals adapted only to these microclimates. In some areas of Lake Michigan they're lake made sand dunes. There's a few where I live.
Anyways, 4 or 5 years ago my wife and I were walking along the beach near some of these "dunes" my wife loves willow trees and we saw a small almost sickly looking willow. Any kind of willow is extremely easy to propagate from cuttings. My wife talked me into taking a cutting from this willow, so I did. But in those years the Lake dramatically rose and today it's slowly starting to get to its normal depth again. It's a natural occurrence every 13 years or so the Great Lakes do this. Dramatically changing the shoreline and moving the dunes. Ok so now back to the willow thats growing extremely well in my backyard. Not knowing what type of willow it is and wanting to know what kind it is, I brought a branch to a conservation place to get an ID of it. They told me it was a dune willow. Dune willows, I learned are a threatened species. Especially after the lake rose and washed away most of them and even more disappeared after the sand dunes moved and barried even more.
So, what do I do? Let some official take cuttings from mine in my backyard and risk a large fine for having this protected willow, or take cuttings myself and replant?

My week of annual leave which starts when I clock out at work tomorrow. I am thinking about what I am going to do and where I am going to go as I like to be active. The weather is going to be pretty good as well.

I am going to visit Brighton which used to be my student town years ago and holds great nostalgic quality for me. I am thinking about which colourful photos I am going to get there.

I am thinking about a visit to Ruislip Lido and how I am going to approach it - where I am going to walk from to get there, and which interesting places I can pass through.

I am thinking about the route of a nostalgic cycle ride around where I used to work. And I am also thinking about a long walk with an old work friend, around Amersham.

And then it’s into my birthday week and I am intending some fun things to do then as well.

I would let the government make the first move. Nothing like making waves.
