It's the reason why we fail. It's the reason why we don't get what we want. It's the unseen blocks in each of us that keeps us from living the most fulfilling life possible, Unconscious Internal Resistance.

I have noticed that in almost every situation where I failed or made a mistake which added to my difficulties, in every case I was harboring some kind of internal resistance. Only after, when I had the time to slow down and dig deep, I was able to notice what was really going on. Some part of me was saying no. At the time I told myself I wanted this, but deep down inside, I knew it wasn't so. If I had forced the outcome and gotten what I wanted just then, I would have been out of my depths, unable to handle it. I knew it.

The key I think to our best life is figuring out where the misalignment is, and resolving it as best we can. We could view this as law of attraction, souls contract, or simply living authentically. The story to our successes and failures are just under our conscious awareness waiting for us to uncover. The answers are right in front of us. Everything is known.

So true Flexi-Girl.We are on this planet for our own reasons and when we feel like we should do or want to do something that goes against our original plan, if we do that thing we will face difficulties and obstructions throughout.

Agreed. Intuition is what we already know, but don't fully understand.

i have a different opinion. Rather than coming at it from the 'internal resistance makes me not get what I want' angle and then trying to get rid of the internal resistance so I can get what I want... I come at it from the angle of 'boy this internal resistance really keeps me out of trouble, I don't have to end up doing things that I never wanted to do to start with'. And then I keep the internal resistance and just live without whatever I was told to want and I'm happy.

When you say that internal resistance really keeps you out of trouble, it got me to thinking about times where I had ignored that nagging feeling, gotten what I had wanted only for it be a disaster. It's only in looking back I see the internal and external signals were revealing the truth. It was through thoughtful reflection, I realized I was just trying to satisfy an idealized version of reality merely to bolster my ego rather than following my hearts desire.

On the other hand I can see a valid case made for pushing through resistance. Sometimes we don't feel like working out, or eating healthy, when we should. Often we fail to take risks that we could benefit from because of unfounded fear or false beliefs about our abilities. In that respect not taking action could stagnate our growth.

I think releasing resistance is all about tuning inward, of greater self understanding. When we resolve resistance we become more authentic and allow ourselves to see bigger picture. I know we don't always have the time or presence to work through resistance however. For that reason I think it's important to hold more pure intentions, and to refrain from letting our ego run our lives. Easier said than done for me
