Unhappy Repeated Nightmare

Hello again. I have come to this forum once more to discuss something that has me scratching my head in confusion. For a while, I have had nightmares involving witnessing a violent attack. I can't honestly tell what it means, but it has me concerned for my well being.

the news brings stories of violent encounters, nearly every day.
to have witnessed these may have been internalized by you.
specifics of your nightmares may shed light... are you a victim/perpetrator,
or simply an observer?
do you have feelings of 'responsibility', meaning that you sense you may
have been able to prevent, or perhaps had initiated the events?
spend some time in personal meditation, and focus on achieving a sense
of well-being that is pervasive and unshakable... so that these nightmares
will have no impact on your health.
think love and peace throughout your day, and radiate these attributes.
listen to your inner concerns, but reassure the ego that you have nothing
to fear in life.

In the nightmares, I was the bystander, and yes there is a profound sense of guilt when it comes to preventative measures. Thanks for the advice.

guilt is something that humans have no need of.
(guilt is "unnatural").
you can recognize that you are a creature of divine creation;
you were constructed from primal forces of which there is no sin.
there is no sin inherent in your being... you have no cause for
considering yourself guilty of anything.
why worry, just smile :)
