yeah, that last scene in which you were walking.
it was a "wide road", which seems to mean that your travel is easy and
forgiving... it would require effort to wander off the path and go astray.
it's evening, an interval between days, so you were actively shifting
between locations, entering into a new scene for the next morning.
to have "no vehicles" in sight means that whoever was in the vicinity would
be moving under their own power, independent of assistance.
you encounter three people. the young son seems to me to be a version of
yourself... he/you are being assisted in that he is carried. the younger
mother seems analogous to mother Gaia, the life energy of the planet.
you ask directions and receive them. it seems that you've had an inkling
of what you wanted to do and where you wanted to be, so i wouldn't say
that the younger mother was instructing you to do anything in particular,
but simply assisting you in fulfilling your own desires.
for you to note that "I looked puzzled" indicates that you were partially
distanced from yourself, so as to allow you to notice your appearance.
(perhaps you'd seen your form through that child's eyes?)
you head off towards the train station... which will bring you back into
a populated area, and provide a "programmed" set of destinations to
choose from (trains run on tracks, which are pre-planned out).
i wonder why you'd asked a second and nearly a third time... maybe
you had hopes for receiving different instructions? it seems that you
are free to choose your own course, and lacking any other inspirations
decide to move towards where 'everybody else' goes.
